The Laguna Fires

The Lagunas are mountains located east of San Diego. They go up to 8,000 ft. high.

In 2003, there was a terrible fire that destroyed a large area of the eastern San Diego county... even my parents prepared themselves to evacuate. This map shows some of the area involved.

In 2004 I drove through the area to see how bad the damage was. These are a few pictures I took on that trip.
