St. Martin's Parade

One of Germany's favorite pre-Christmas traditions is the St. Martin's parade. All the children of the kindergardens build little laterns and they walk through the town behind someone dressed as St. Martin, who is usually riding a horse. They proudly caring their laterns, singing pre-Christmas/advent songs.

This year I joined Carsten, Shiana, and Priysha. Weather was great, but cold. We were glad to get back to the kindergarden where there was a St. Martin's bonfire as well as drinks and food available.
