On July 16 the weather was finally half way decent and Ingrid and I went on a short trip to the fortress on the Otzberg, located just south of where I live. We missed a just-married couple upon our arrival. It was funny seeing all the ladies in their high-heeled shoes trying to walk the cobble stones.

This is the year of the bat and we visit a free bat exhibit that was being displayed in the museum. We then enjoyed some good coffee and cake, did lots of girl talk, and watched some archers doing shooting practice.

We enjoyed the scenery and our little excursion.
