Arrival in Teneriffa

Frankfurt was quite a lonely place at 3:00 a.m. when my flight with Air Berlin departed.

The flight itself was ok. It was a brand new B 737-800 with only 50 hours on it. Being night, there wasn't much to see out the windows and I actually managed to doze off a few times.
After landing we boarded buses which took us on a 40 minute drive to Santa Cruz de Tenerife where our ship was docked.
We didn't see much of Teneriffa itself. The first day was spent exploring the ship until our cabins were available.

By chance, as we left the docks for the trip to our next port, Madeira, there were fireworks going off in the distance.... and I managed to catch them in a film.

| My flight out of Teneriffe was early morning, meaning having breakfast at 5:00 am, then once again taking the bus ride to the airport. The return flight was with Tuifly and was again a B737-800. Both flights were fine, but on this one the meals were better (and free!). I managed to catch some aerial views of France.... on one the Mount Blanc can be seen. | |
