I decided to put the following photos at the top of this page because they came out really GOOD! ... at least that's what I think! They were taken from the visitors roof of the Main Tower on July 12, 2005 and as you can see, the weather was perfect! Since I have to reduce the size of the pictures here they really don't turn out as fantastic as the originals... so click on the picture to get the full size...

in the middle you can see the cathedral... it's being renovated so it's real beauty can't be appreciated

ok, this is proof that I was actually up there! As you can see, there is only a plexi-glass guardrail, otherwise it is completely open! But if someone tried to jump they's land on the roof of the restaurant one floor below, so now worry. It was also quite windy up there! |

the white area in the background is the Frankfurt airport! You can watch the planes taking off and landing from here on good days. The photo is a bit hazy, but in real life it was clear (the sun was just off to the right here).

just below the Main Tower is the old Opera House. It was quite destroyed in WW II and just completely renovated a few years ago. Can you believe I have still not been inside yet? They offer so many concerts and other events there... I must really go some day.
