Renewal of the city rights by Emperor Karl IV.
1372 Ulrich II. sells Babenhausen to Emperor Karl IV.; returned with the commitment, the emperor and his soldiers to permit entrance at all times

Swedish troups at the gates of Babenhausen; the emperor's troups from Mainz successfully defend the city for 5 weeks; afterwards the city is under Swedish control.

The emperor's troups under General Philipp of Mansfeld lay siege on the city; the Swedish troups successfully defend city.

City under forced administration through the Bishop of Mainz
